Celebrate May Day at Ham House on Mon 6 May.  Discover more about the uses of dew in the 17th century and take part in a range of fun activities.

May Day Activities

Throughout May Day, demonstrators will be in the Still House using May Dew to make some special mixtures.

Create and wear your own beautiful flower crown as part of our May Day celebrations in the craft room, open 12 – 4pm. Take a seat on the flower throne to crown yourselves May King or Queen or join a game of tug of war and challenge your friends and family to see who is the strongest.

Our local schools will be putting on a display of May Pole dancing so come and watch this lovely tradition.

The flowers will be blooming to brighten your bank holiday so a stroll around our extensive gardens will be time well spent. End the day with refreshments in our Orangery Cafe, overlooking the impressive Kitchen garden.
