If you want to introduce your little ones to the festival experience, Magical could be the place to go.
Magical is a three day micro, music, arts and wellness festival. Held in a lakeside field of dreams in Sussex, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is a festival with a difference.
The festival is designed to appeal all ages – with dressing up definitely not limited to just the children.
As well as the entertainment for adults, there is lots on offer for children. Children are welcome at any of the music events (bring your
own ear defenders) but there is also the Big Fish Little Fish Rave, the family rave. Drum n bounce is a free session introducing want-to-be DJs to the art of DJing. It will teach the basics of beat matching, synching, tempo and pitch. Tatty Bumpkin will be running yoga sessions filled with storytelling, music and movement for little ones.
The Kid’s Dome will host arts and crafts for children up to the age of 12. The bouncy castle, outdoor games and wide open spaces will
ensure that there are opportunities to burn off some energy.
Magical has a designated family camping area, at the furthest point away from the late-night music.
Options for camping include bring your own tent, campervan or have a boutique bell tent set up ready for your arrival.
The festival has a strong ethical stance so festivalgoers are encouraged to bring their own water bottles and reuseable coffee cups. All the food
vendors will have compostable or recyclable serveware and there is a strict vegan/vegetarian policy.
The festival takes place from 19-22 July near Haywards Heath. For more information visit www.magicalfestival.co.uk
