2020 will be the year of the Rat. There are a number of places that you can view or participate in the activities.

Chinese New Year Parade

The parade includes Chinese lions and dragons and will kick off on Charing Cross Road before heading through Shaftesbury Avenue in Chinatown.

Trafalgar Square

There will be screen shows, a thanksgiving ceremony followed by firecrackers, speeches and the Lions’ Eye-Dotting Ceremony. There will be stage performances throughout the day, including Chinese dance and music shows, martial arts displays and an exciting lineup of artists from China.

Also in Trafalgar Square will be family activities run by The National Gallery. This includes

West End Stages 

Talent and community zone on Shaftesbury Avenue, the family zone is in Leicester Square and the martial arts and cultural zone is on Charing Cross Road.
