Come and play at Ham House and Garden this summer, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy!

“Eat your flowers!” From June onwards visit our living exhibition in the kitchen garden will enable you to taste flowers, learn about their nutritional value and then eat more as  ingredients in our tasty Orangery café food.  There will be an activity map for families throughout the summer holidays inspired by “Eat your flowers!”

The Lord Chamberlain’s men returning for outdoor theatre on Sunday 8th July in “The Tempest”, gates open from 6pm with the performance starting at 7pm.  Do come along and enjoy a picnic on the plats and watch an all-male cast perform the play in our beautiful gardens.  Tickets available to book via our website.

Behind the Orangery Café you will find the Family Picking Garden where we encourage visitors to sample fresh vegetables and herbs with their children. This is a great space for children to taste organic produce straight out of the ground and maybe even discover a new favourite vegetable!

Just next door in the Outer Courtyard we have our natural play area, featuring Big Ben, Ham House and stepping stone bridges; as well as a grass maze, den building and a selection of garden games. Or simply relax in a deckchair with an ice cream in our beautiful gardens.
